The history of the William Edward Halliwell family

William was born in Brindle, Lancashire on 30 January 1859. His mother Alice registered the birth on 11 March 1859 but did not give the father's name.

William and Martha married in Nantwich on 8 July 1883. They were both living in Monks Coppenhall at the time of their wedding.

Both of their fathers were engine drivers. One is said to have driven the Royal Scot.
